Experience

Creative Director

Avenue A | Razorfish

May 2007 - Present

As a creative director, I am responsible for leading the creative effort on an entire account. My role is to set the creative vision and strategy for projects and lead creative teams to come up with innovative work. My current client is Nortel, for whom I am working on a variety of projects, including a massive website redesign, a microsite and an online advertising campaign. My past clients at Avenue A | Razorfish have included CBS and Visa.

Teacher

Miami Ad School

October 2006 - December 2006

I taught a class called "Visual Impact" to the advertising students at the school. The goal of the class was to help hone the graphic design skills of these art direction students.

Associate Creative Director

Organic

April 2005 - April 2007

Organic is leading interactive marketing agency. I worked as a creative lead on a project-basis, in charge of small to medium teams to deliver online advertising campaigns, microsites and websites. As the creative lead, it was my responsibility to come up with the creative strategy and vision, sell that through to the client, and then lead a team of designers, copywriters, information architects and engineers to produce the work. My clients included: Mitsubishi Motors, Sprint, Janus, Washington Mutual and eBay. On the Sprint account, I was the creative lead in our Interactive Agency of Record relationship, managing a team of nine creatives in a grueling three-week campaign cycle to market Sprint's wireless consumer and business products.

Contract Art Director

Lunarboy

September 1995 - Present

As a contract art director I have worked with both agencies and in-house groups, including Organic, Avenue A/Razorfish, Vehicle SF, Zimmermann Design Inc., Apple and Pixar. The projects have included websites, packaging, print ads, software templates, and promotional videos. I also have a select number of small local clients for whom I have designed print ads and websites.

Contract Art Director

Apple

April 2002 - July 2004

Apple makes personal computers. Working in the in-house graphic design department, I mostly created motion graphics for the Apple retail stores. I designed the video loop for the Genius Bar, created an in-store interactive holiday gift guide, and designed many of the videos that played in the Theater or on the Macs in-store. In addition to retail store projects, I also designed templates for software products, worked on packaging for iPod, and created the opening animation for the Mac OS X installer.

Contract Art Director

Pixar Animation Studios

May 2001 - March 2002

Pixar Animation Studios produces short and feature-length computer-animated films. I redesigned and launched their website, leading a team of 3-D artists, writers and developers. I also designed corporate collateral such as invitations, ads, brochures, and t-shirts.

Senior Art Director

marchFIRST

August 1999 - March 2001

marchFIRST, a descendant of CKS Partners, offered integrated marketing solutions to many large corporate clients. As a member of the Brand-Building group, I worked closely with information architects, content strategists, and developers to create websites and other interactive projects for Levi Strauss & Co., Apple, Sega, Toys "R" Us, Pixar, Harley-Davidson, and 3Com. In addition to interactive projects, I also worked on branding projects for start-ups, and print collateral for 3Com and Kinko's.

Senior Graphic Designer

Zimmermann Crowe Design

December 1995 - August 1999

ZCD (now known as Vehicle SF) is a medium-sized multi-disciplinary design firm, focusing on retail marketing strategies. There I worked on developing and designing retail environment concepts, point of sale graphics, and retail fixturing for Levi Strauss & Co and Nike. I also worked on a few identity systems, publication advertisements, packaging, and designed and implemented the ZCD website. I worked semi-independently, under the creative direction of Dennis Crowe.
